Roderick Kenneth Johnson was born on October 18, 1965 and died on May 20, 2003.  Rod was thirty seven years old.
Mr. Johnson was a San Jose native who graduated from Branham High School and received his AA degree at West Valley before attending San Jose State.  He was an employee of Safeway for many years where he was assistant manager.
In 1999 Rod Johnson moved to Los Angeles where he was employed as a manager of a retail chain.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his father and step mother, Raymond and Bonte Johnson, his brother and sister, Ramon Johnson and Kimberly Mills, his step brother and step sister, Jim and Dianne Hageman, and his two nieces, Chante and Renee Mills.

David Castleton

G. David Castleton, Age 38, passed from this life on April 9, 2004. He was born in Sacramento. He spent most of his life in San Jose.
He is survived by his wife Anne Ososkie Castleton, son Tyler Scott Evans, parents Marilyn Johnson and Gary Castleton, step-parents Brent and Ruth, brother Daniel, sisters Amy, Laura, Denise, Heidi, Melissa, Rachael, and Debbie, brothers-in-law Mike, David, Uwe, Anthony, and Jerry, adoring nieces and nephews: Karen, Jenny, Davey, Persephone, Jakob, Adam, Maya, Ashley, and Avery, grandparents Don & Marie Call and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Dennis Kerns

Dennis Kerns, 56, passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2022. Dennis was born in San Jose, CA to Michael Kerns and Karen Kruse. He graduated from Branham High School in San Jose and attended West Valley College. He met the love of his life, Terrie Blackburn, in high school and they were married on May 21, 1988. Dennis and Terrie lived in San Jose where they welcomed their children, Kathryn and Nathan. In 1999 Dennis switched careers from high tech to real estate appraising and in 2005 the family moved to Martinez, CA where Dennis co-owned Apple Appraisal with his brother-in-law, Tony Blackburn. Dennis spent his free time with his family and friends and enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his son Nathan, talking football with his daughter Kathryn, and fixing things around the home he loved, for his wife Terrie. Christine Pauley (Dykema)

Chris passed away peacefully at home at age 55 with her beloved husband holding her hand and her favorite mule and horse within sight.  She had a six year battle with Melanoma.  Five of those years she lived her life to the fullest enjoying her friends, work and her lifelong passion of riding horses.  In her final year she continued to ride as much as possible while fighting through Immunotherapy and four clinical trials.  In the end she chose her final day and left this world the way she wanted, it was beautiful.  She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Pauley and many loving animals.


Stuart Spangler

It is with great sadness that the family of Stuart Charles Spangler, 58 announces his passing on May 22, 2023, in San Jose, California after a long and courageous battle with health issues.

Stuart was born on March 25th 1965 in San Jose, California.  He graduated from Branham High School and attended both West Valley College and California State University, Chico.

Stuart had a generous heart and enjoyed helping others.  He had a passion for Plumerias and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and San Diego  to collect new varieties of plumerias.  He was also an avid bee keeper.  (excerpt from obituary)
